SEG Memorandum of Understanding
On 4nd August 2025, the Society for Geology Applied to Mineral Deposits (SGA) and the Society of Economic Geologists, Inc. (SEG) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) recognizing that mutual benefits would result from closer cooperation and affiliation, and that cooperation with other societies is part of their respective constitutions.
The objective of this MoU, which supersedes all previous MoUs, is to establish a framework for cooperation between the participants on the basis of respect and mutual benefit in organizing their respective conferences/meetings and any other area of shared mutual interest (e.g., field trips, short courses, etc.).
